Module 1 Speaker Amogh is a Partner in Dentons Rodyk’s Litigation and Dispute Resolution and Arbitration Practice Groups. Amogh undertakes a broad range of work in the areas of commercial litigation and international arbitration, with a focus on construction and infrastructure matters, as well as criminal defence and investigations.

Module 2 Speaker Muntaz is a partner in I.R.B. Law and oversees the work of associates as well as manages the firm with the Managing Partner. Her practice over the years focuses on Criminal, Employment and Family matters. Despite being a strong litigator and being involved in many protracted matters, Muntaz also recognises the importance of an amicable and expeditious resolution to matters and is a certified Mediator.

Module 2 Co-Speaker Rajesh is a senior consultant psychiatrist with 16 years’ experience in psychiatry as a consultant specialist psychiatrist after completing my post graduate training in 2004. He is currently am currently working as a senior consultant psychiatrist in Singapore Prison Service treating prisoners with mental disorders since 1st October 2015.

Module 3 Speaker Cheow Hung has almost 2 decades of experience in private legal practice. The greater part of his experience has been in Dispute Resolution. He has represented clients in a diverse range of civil and commercial disputes; including shareholders' and partnership disputes, employment disputes, defamation proceedings, construction disputes, banking disputes and tortious claims.

Module 4 Speaker Derek is a dispute resolution lawyer with a focus on commercial and civil litigation, as well as criminal matters. Derek represents and advises companies and individuals in a broad range of cases, including shareholders and directors' disputes, contractual and employment disputes and cases involving fraud. As a defence lawyer, Derek has represented clients in numerous investigations, trials and appeals and frequently obtained non-prosecutions or successful outcomes in court.

Module 4 Co-Speaker Mohamed Faizal presently serves as Deputy Chief Prosecutor at the Attorney-General's Chambers. He joined the Singapore Legal Service in 2005 as a Justices’ Law Clerk. After a brief stint as an Assistant Registrar, he joined the AGC as a Deputy Public Prosecutor in 2007. He serves on, inter alia, the Criminal Procedure Code Rules Committee and MUIS Appeal Board, and holds various adjunct teaching appointments. Faizal was appointed Senior Counsel in 2020.

Module 5 & 6 Sant joined Tan Rajah & Cheah in 2008 after being in practice for more than 35 years in partnership with others as well as on his own. Prior to entering practice, Mr Singh was an Inspector of Police, Singapore Police Force, from 1966 to 1973. He was transferred to the Singapore Legal Service and inter-alia was a Deputy Public Prosecutor in the Attorney-General’s Chambers, Singapore. He has been in private practice since 1978. He was appointed a Senior Counsel in January 2007

Module 7 Speaker Eugene specialises in both criminal and commercial litigation. He read law at the National University of Singapore when he was placed on the final year Deans List with a good Second Upper Bachelor’s Degree in Law. He is known to be a fiery advocate with a penchant for fighting for justice. A “strong-willed and determined litigator” is how some clients describe him.

Module 8 Speaker Mr Tan is currently the Deputy Chairman of WongPartnership LLP. He was appointed Senior Counsel in 2006. Mr Tan spent his earlier career as a civil engineer before becoming a qualified legal practitioner in 1987. He was formerly Deputy Senior State Counsel and Deputy Public Prosecutor in both the civil and criminal divisions of the Attorney-General's Chambers, and Deputy Director of the Commercial Affairs Department in Singapore.

Module 9 Speaker Sunil is the Head of theMod Quahe Woo & Palmer LLC’s Criminal Department. He graduated in 2004 with an Honours degree in Law from the National University of Singapore. Sunil was called to the Singapore Bar on 28 May 2005 and has cultivated deep experience in criminal law ever since. Sunil’s passion is criminal law. He is currently the President of the Association of Criminal Lawyers of Singapore (“ACLS”). Sunil is actively involved in pro bono work.

Module 9 Co-Speaker Joel has represented accused persons at all levels of the Singapore Courts with respect to matters involving white-collar crime, regulatory offences, drug offences, voluntarily causing hurt, offences under the Protection from Harassment Act, and other offences under the Penal Code. Joel is a volunteer lawyer with the Criminal Legal Aid Scheme and a member of the Association of Criminal Lawyers of Singapore.

Module 10 Speaker Suresh as a litigator has covered a number of diverse areas both in the criminal, commercial and civil arenas. Suresh’s criminal practice encompasses a wide spectrum which includes capital cases covering murder and drug trafficking, offences of graft and fraud, offences under the Securities and Futures Act and offences under the Companies Act. He also advises on regulatory issues involving compliance and governance.

Module 11 Speaker Moy Hooi Yan is currently the Laboratory Director of the Drugs Abuse Testing unit of the Analytical Toxicology Laboratory, Health Sciences Authority where she has worked for more than 15 years. Her role is to oversee the effective management, performance and development of the Laboratory within internationally accepted forensic practices and standards.

Module Speaker 12 Sanjiv’s areas of expertise span litigation, arbitration and white-collar-crime and investigations. A litigator with more than 20 years of experience, Sanjiv is a market leader in white-collar defence and fraud investigations work, advising clients on matters that include corruption, criminal breach of trust, insider trading and anti-money laundering. In addition to advising clients on mutual legal assistance and extradition.

Module 13 Speaker A seasoned advocate, Kalidass served as a prosecutor with the Attorney-General's Chambers for more than 10 years between 2001 and 2012. In recognition of his good performance and service, Kalidass was awarded the National Day Commendation Medal (Pingkat Kepujian). As a prosecutor, Kalidass handled numerous cases involving property offences, offences against the person, white collar crimes, serious drug offences, regulatory offences, among others.

Module 14 Speaker N. K. Rajarh’s practice encompasses a wide spectrum covering both civil & criminal litigation, insurance law, and family law. Many of his high-profile commercial and criminal cases at the Singapore High Court and the Court of Appeal have since become entrenched as ground-breaking precedents in Singapore case law.

Module 15 Speaker Amardeep is a Legal Compliance Officer at Cavenagh Law LLP, which is registered together with Clifford Chance Pte Ltd as a Formal Law Alliance, Clifford Chance Asia. In his role, Amardeep advises on a wide range of regulatory issues including data protection, anti-bribery, anti-money laundering and the regulation of lawyers.

Mervyn graduated from the National University of Singapore, Law School, with a LL.B. (2nd Upper Class), in 2008, and has since devoted much of his legal career dealing with a variety of areas including commercial law, restructuring and insolvency law, criminal law, employment law and intellectual property law. Apart from being a quick-witted litigator, Mervyn honed his commercial awareness during his stint as an in-house legal counsel in an international bank.

Module Speaker 17 Wendell is a highly respected civil and criminal lawyer. His civil practice includes commercial, shareholder and director disputes, medical negligence, product liability, and cross-border arbitration. His criminal practice focuses on commercial fraud, securities, corruption, and corporate governance related offences.

Module 18 Speaker Remy Choo is a Director at the law firm Peter Low & Choo LLC. He regularly acts in magistrate’s appeals and criminal references on points of law of public interest.

Module 19 Speaker Amarick graduated from University of Wolverhampton and is a survivor of the English and Singapore Bar. He has nearly two decades of experience in criminal and civil matters, many of which were high profile and can be found in our Press section. Amarick is a firm believer in helping deserving cases, and conducts numerous pro bono matters referred by the Law Society.

Module 20 Speaker Crystal is a Consultant Forensic Scientist with the DNA Profiling Laboratory, Health Sciences Authority of Singapore. She graduated from the University of Toronto with an Honours Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry and Forensic Science. On return to Singapore in 2002, Crystal started her career as a forensic DNA scientist. Crystal was one of the first scientists involved in the setting up of the DNA Database Laboratory that began operations in 2003.

Module 21 Speaker Gabriel graduated from the National University of Singapore in 2008, with a major in Psychology. Gabriel joined the Probation and Community Rehabilitation Service in Nov 2008. Now as an Senior Manager, he provides guidance and support to the operations teams on case management, including officers who supervise hostel cases.

Module 21 Co-Speaker Alvin graduated from National University of Singapore with a honours in Sociology in 2007. He is currently an Assistant Manager in PCRS. His work mainly focuses on working with the Courts in assessing offenders’ suitability for community-based rehabilitation, as well as the management of such offenders during their stint on probation. Alvin also manages a team of Probation Officers, and is in charge of introducing Behavioural Insights initiatives within his department.

Module 22 Speaker Ramesh Tiwary has practised mainly at the criminal bar since 1990. During this period he has defended accused persons facing a wide array of criminal offences.
